  • 1974 the ground-breaking took place. Paula and Johann Eder (Sieghard's parents) built the bed & breakfast Alpenland with 23 guest beds. By the standards of the time, it was very luxurious (in each room, there was central heating as well as bath with WC). Sieghard Eder took over the bed & breakfast Alpenland along with his wife Ilona Eder (who passed away in 2001). Ilona Eder looked after the guests at the bed & breakfast, and during this time, Sieghard was the head chef at his parents' business, Hotel Alpenblick.

  • 1976 their first son, Christian was born. Since 2000 he head of the service team and reception.
  • 1978 their second son Stefan was born. He runs the Kristallhütte and the Mountain & Soul.
  • 1986 Sieghard and Ilona decided to add a small fine restaurant to their bed and breakfast.  
  • 1987 in spring the opening of the small fine hote and gourmet restaurant took place. Ilona, skilled sommeliere was the perfect addition in the service. Wine was her passion. Sieghard continuosly took part in cooking seminars of the best and most well-known chef and elaborated his cooking skills. 
  • His cuisine was awarded with a Toque by the Gault Millau.
  • 1987 their third child and princess Sabrina was born. (Master of Art in Business)
  • 2000 After a few years in top gastronomy abroad son Christian came back to the Zillertal to run the service team and reception.  
  • 2003 it was time for a grand renovation. The hotel was extended by 18 beds. 
  • 2009 refurbishment of parts of the restaurant – Swiss pine dining room
  • 2014 Markus Bichler working since 6 years at Sieghard takes over the positionof chef of the kitchen from Sieghard and confirms the top level cuisine by being awarded 2 Toques and 15 points by Gault Millau
  • 2014 Renewing of the lobby, reception, ski storage and breakfast buffet. 
  • 2015 Renewing of the sauna with Finnish sauna, organic herbal-sauna, waterfall shower and relaxation room
