Zillertal is surrounded by several unique winter sports areas, which offer just the right thing to suit every taste. The Penken is an action-packed mountain which attracts people with its steep ski runs and unique snow park, while the Ahorn was seemingly created just for families who want to carve down the slopes together. Not far away is the Hintertuxer glacier, where even in summer you can find the best winter sports conditions. The Zillertal ski resort with its top ski areas has 625 km of snowy slopes, 200 km of maintaianed cross-country trails, 15 toboggan runs, and a few other attractions.  Even away from the slopes, you're guaranteed to never get bored. The numerous huts in Zillertal invite you to get the most out of après-ski, serving up warm drinks and great meals, and an evening party atmosphere where no one will be alone for long.
